CAPABILITIES: A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc. specializes in manufacturing small, intricate parts using high precision Mori Seiki CNC equipment. Our capabilities include CNC milling, CNC turning, manual machining, automatic sawing, tube bending, welding, and vibratory finishing. We have extensive experience engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing products for the dental, paintball, and marine industries. We also have substantial experience manufacturing hydraulic manifolds. A.R.E. Manufacturing can provide our customers with complete part finishing and assembly, and has longstanding relationships with competent and reliable vendors for extruding, grinding, heat treating, laser cutting, bending, anodizing, plating, and painting.
A.R.E. Manufacturing has the capability to engineer, design, and prototype components and assemblies. Our knowledgeable staff can assist customers with design improvements to optimize a product's machinability. Maximizing a product's machinability can lower costs, increase reliability, and shorten lead times. We use Solidworks, Autocad , Esprit, and Mastercam software on an daily basis and we accept files most 2D and 3D file formats. EMPLOYMENT: A.R.E. HISTORY: A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc. began in 1980 as a part time business located in the owner's garage. The company was located in Dundee, Oregon, operating as A.R.E. Machining at the time. Full-time operations in Dundee began in 1984 with four employees and one CNC lathe in a 1000 square foot facility. In 1987, A.R.E. Machining incorporated, changed its name to A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc., and moved to a newly built 4200 sq.ft. building in Newberg Oregon. A.R.E. Manufacturing was employing seven people and operating three CNC machines at the time. In July 1995, A.R.E. Manufacturing moved to its current location, a new 21,000 sq.ft. facility. Employment had grown to twenty six employees and A.R.E. was then operating seven CNC machines. A major equipment upgrade which included the purchase of four state-of-the-art CNC machines, was initiated in 1997, vastly improving A.R.E.’s quality and flexibility in manufacturing parts. In 2004, A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc. purchased a machine shop located in Bend, Oregon and moved it to A.R.E.’s Newberg Facility. This acquisition doubled A.R.E.’s size. A.R.E. Manufacturing currently has nineteen CNC machines and forty-six employees.
A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc. is a member of the NFIB, US Chamber of Commerce, and Newberg Chamber of Commerce. A.R.E. is a contributing member of the Business/School Partnership Program and participates in the Newberg High School Leadership Youth Program.. A.R.E. Manufacturing enthusiastically supports Newberg habitat for Humanity, Newberg Old Fashioned Festival, Newberg FISH, Newberg High School Athletics, and Newberg High School Robotics program. A.R.E. Manufacturing is also a sponsor of local youth sports. A.R.E. Manufacturing, Inc. also proudly manufactured and donated parts used in the reassembly of the Spruce Goose at the Captain Michael King Smith Evergreen Aviation Museum in Mcminnville, Oregon.
