Medical Benefits Progressive provides two self-insured medical plans which offer different levels of medical coverage at different costs to you. A Preferred Provider Option (PPO) medical plan offers five different reimbursement levels (I to V). An Exclusive Provider Option (EPO) offers the features of a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) without the necessity of going through a primary care physician. In some locations, Progressive offers a traditional HMO. You can choose the plan that best meets your personal health care needs. Dental Benefits There are three dental options: preventive, comprehensive, and a dental HMO. The plan percentage coverages differ, with varying deductibles and different biweekly payroll deductions. Vision Benefits Progressive medical options I through IV cover an eye exam. If you need additional vision coverage, comprehensive coverage is available for lenses, frames and contact lenses. Life Insurance/AD&D Progressive's group life insurance program has various levels of individual Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage to satisfy individual and family life insurance needs. Spouse and child life insurance are also available.
Long-term Disability Progressive provides basic LTD coverage at no cost to you. You are able to purchase additional disability coverage through post-tax payroll deductions.
Time Off Progressive credits you with vacation, personal and sick time. We also recognize certain holidays. Part-time people will earn prorated amounts of vacation, personal and sick time. Progressive also provides short-term disability, time off for the funeral of an immediate family member, military leave and jury duty.
Retirement Security Program There are two retirement plans available to Progressive people: the voluntary Long-term Savings Plan (LTSP), which is Progressive's 401(k), and a Self-Directed Retirement Plan (SDRP), another defined contribution plan to which Progressive only contributes. Both plans offer 12 investment alternatives. Long-term Saving Plan This tax advantaged savings plan allows you to save up to 21% of your pay and offers a company match. You may begin contributing to the LTSP after one month of service.
Self Directed Retirement Plan This plan is completely paid for by Progressive. After one year of service all people are automatically eligible (must be 21 and work at least 20 hours per week).
Tuition Reimbursement Educational assistance is available to people working at least 20 hours per week after one full year of service. The educational assistance plan reimbursement levels vary from 50% to 100% with an annual maximum. There is also assistance for individual classes, insurance education and proficiency tests.
Child Care Subsidy Progressive offers a child care subsidy for people with at least six months of service to help defray the cost of child care.
