First Insight chooses Jobdango to be their fully interactive job posting service provider and joins the northwest's only employment network powered by Jobdango!

First Insight is a thriving organization seeking dynamic individuals to join our team. Our e-commerce solutions, practice management software and electronic medical records are revolutionizing the field of eye care. We offer an environment where bold ideas, high energy and a friendly workplace set the standard.

First Insight has always had a close relationship with the eyecare professional. Founded in 1994 by current president and CEO, Nitin Rai, the company's origins stem from Nitin's own experience as a patient. Three years prior Nitin was diagnosed with an eye condition known as lattice degeneration. It was during one of his checkups with Dr. Craig Bowen that he noticed the doctor's computerized patient tracking system. Instead of sifting through a manila file folder full of paper charts, letters and referrals, Dr. Bowen was able to refer to previous exam histories, digital retinal images and past prescriptions – all with a simple mouse click.
After extensive market research, Nitin found that many of the existing systems on the market were nothing more than outgrowths of antiquated billing systems. In many cases, they were developed using DOS or UNIX technologies, resulting in clumsy and confusing user interfaces. Even the windows systems that exist today are out-growths of old DOS systems. None of the systems provide the ease-of-use or the comprehensive design essential to the ophthalmic environment. Another common complaint was rooted in support – at best, it was considered average.
MaximEyes®

Leading the eyecare market. In response to the market's need for a better product, Nitin developed maximEyes and backed it up with a commitment to first-rate customer support. MaximEyes was the first practice management system for eye care on the Microsoft® Windows® platform. Since its introduction, maximEyes installations are now closing in on 1,000 practices throughout the U.S. and Canada. maximeyes is widely recognized in the industry as the most complete and sophisticated practice management system available.
ParadEyes.com® and Optometry.net®

Pulling it all together. With the eyecare marketplace becoming more competitive and complex, Nitin quickly realized the efficiencies and cost savings the Internet could bring to the industry as a whole – the practitioners, patients and vendors. ParadEyes.com® is aimed at being the most comprehensive e-commerce solution for the eyecare industry, providing eyecare professionals with one quick and easy link to ophthalmic products, services and resources. ParadEyes.com® integrates with maximEyes, eliminating the need to re-key patient information, reducing input errors and ultimately speeding product turnaround time.
In line with our philosophy of creating revenues for our customers, First Insight Corporation also offers optometry.net® - a powerful tool that allows practitioners to create a very user-friendly, rich and customized website.
Nitin's first fateful encounter with the eyecare world embedded an underlying pledge in First Insight's way of doing business – a pledge to understand the market from the outside in. Our roots may be in technology, but our focus is on the eyecare professional.

Children of the Sea chooses Jobdango to be their fully interactive job posting service provider and joins the northwest's only employment network powered by Jobdango!

About the owner and Children of the Sea's history

Lynne Zavrski is the Founder/Owner of Children of the Sea. Lynne graduated from the University of Hawaii in Recreation. Her background includes life guarding and teaching public swimming during the 1980's in Hawaii. She has trained in Infant/Toddler Survival Swimming, is certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and has been a part of the aquatic industry for over 20 years. She is also an award-winning member of the National Swim School Association.

In 1982, Lynne started Kei Kai (which means Children of the Sea in Hawaiian) where she gave private lessons from her home. There Lynne began developing the child-paced philosophy of what is today's Children of the Sea Water Safe Program. Lynne believes that every child (or adult) can be lovingly taught at an individual pace to overcome any obstacles to learning water safety. She believes that learning to become a secure, technical and proficient swimmer not only masters life-saving skills, but can also accommodate good health, self-esteem and a life-time enjoyment of the water.

Lynne began Children of the Sea in 1996 as a year-round swim school in Portland, Oregon, with 100 students and three instructors. Today, the school, staff and registration have expanded greatly, accommodating as many as 2,000 students per year in one or more classes. Children of the Sea conducts four sessions per year, with instruction six days and four evenings per week. Programs include a flexible class schedule and a range of class levels to accommodate every stage of learning from ages 8 months to adults. Only instructors who have a great caring for children and their well-being are invited to be part of the Children of the Sea team. Constant in-house training assures that instructors hold to the high standards of the school. Lynne encourages representative attendance at host swim schools and industry conferences to assure that Children of the Sea keeps abreast of the most effective aquatic techniques and equipment. In addition to regular lessons, the school offers a Customer Appreciation Week, Under-Water Photo Sessions, Day-Care Group Lessons, Friday Night Family Swim and specialty events.

Lynne believes strongly in community support through school participation in safety events. Children of the Sea is ever ready with information, video tapes, news letters, safety tips, and informed school representatives. The school has participated in OMSI Safety Safari, Tigard Safety Town, Mom's Home, Babies R Us, Baby and Family Show, Summer Camp and Vacation Show, Rose Festival and many public school presentations. Lynne's hopes such exposure will further her mission to make every child water safe.

HPR Link Logistics chooses Jobdango to be their fully interactive job posting service provider and joins the northwest's only employment network powered by Jobdango!

The HPR Logistics Culture
HPR Logistics is a distribution company which specializes in providing its customers with tailored distribution solutions and support that satisfy each customer's unique business requirements. This is possible by building long-term, strategic business relationships with a select number of customers. Long-term business alliances allow HPR Logistics and its customers to work closely together to better anticipate, adapt to, and benefit from constantly evolving marketplace challenges and opportunities. This service philosophy is what makes HPR Logistics unique; HPR Logistics embraces the culture of customizing supply chain solutions by working to fully understand and anticipate the customers' constantly evolving distribution needs and strategies.

About HPR Logistics/Benefits
Identity Retention
As the foodservice distribution industry continues to consolidate, it is becoming increasingly challenging for many multi-unit retail concepts to procure the specific items which clearly convey and differentiate the unique image a company wishes to develop. Furthermore, many distributors are reluctant to customize distribution systems to meet the customer's specific operational needs.
Not all customers are created equal! HPR Logistics truly understands this fact and is an advocate of procuring the particular items which make the customer's image so special. As HPR Logistics does not market its own private label, conflicts of interest related to product procurement simply do not exist. Furthermore, we understand the importance of working together with our customers to purchase and distribute product in a fashion that is efficient, promotes business growth, and protects the customer's market share and unique position.

Fresh Product
Today, the consumer is demanding a healthier and fresher menu. HPR Logistics truly understands, and appreciates the value of, fresh product distribution. Our services support and foster strategies that call for an increase in sales of fresh items.

Savings
HPR Logistics' methods of consolidated distribution allow key efficiencies to be borne that enable the customer to save in many areas. First, direct cost savings can be realized through HPR Logistics' efficient route management, sales order processing methodologies, and inventory management practices. Second, it is possible to incur indirect, short and long term, savings. Through continual and open communication with the customer, HPR Logistics frequently develops, implements and updates new ideas and systems; these activities allow us to continually streamline and improve the flow of information throughout the supply chain. It would be costly to implement constant quality improvement measures, such as these, in house. The cost to support these efforts is shared among various customers and is thus cost efficient.

Efficiency and Consistency
Streamlining and consolidating multiple vendor invoices onto one delivery and one invoice will significantly reduce administrative and accounting functions. As a result, human error decreases and personnel costs are trimmed back. Additionally, by streamlining information systems and physical operations, while instilling discipline into the supply chain, quality and consistency throughout the customer's operation will flourish. What is more, the customer will be able to allocate more resources than before on developing its core business and enhancing its image. The net results of these initiatives are business growth and development.

Deliveries
It is HPR Logistics' objective to be as unobtrusive as possible when delivering product to its customers' retail locations. From our distribution center to the customer's retail location, it is our goal to satisfy the customer's special delivery requirements while conforming to unique operating environments. This is accomplished through a high level of flexibility, frequent and open communication with the customer, and doing everything in our power to ensure the delivery is made within the desired window, day or night.

DSU Peterbilt & GMC Inc chooses Jobdango to be their fully interactive job posting service provider and joins the northwest's only employment network powered by Jobdango!

When Diesel Service Unit, or DSU, opened in 1945, we didn't have much in the way of assets. In fact, our first shop was set up under a tarp hung from a telephone pole. Aside from fresh Oregon air, about all we could offer our early customers was the 30 years combined experience on trucks and diesel engines of our three young mechanics.

But Wally Yost, Bill Prothero and Jim Montgomery had a philosophy of doing business that caught on. It was this: "We'll treat every customer as if we were the customer." Truck owners around the West came to know that DSU is a uniquely personal company run for trucking people.

That early spirit continues Today, over six decades later, Wally Yost's ideas continue on. Wally as chairman of the Board, is supported by a team of officers who are not new faces at DSU, for they have worked here for many years, continuing to strive for the very highest customer satisfaction. The officers of DSU are supported by managers that have also grown with the company. So, new faces are not a problem for our long-time customers. Our managers are supported by people working for them which have also spent many years with DSU. It is the philosophy of DSU to promote from within. Now, with nearly 250 employees, we at DSU feel we are keeping up with the founders' idea of treating the customer and the customer's needs, as if we were the customer. This great idea has produced one of the best reputations in the trucking industry.
