It is the first company outside Japan to be certified by the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries to produce JAS certified lumber.

Vanport Manufacturing is the original lumber manufacturing operation from which sprung Vanport International, a lumber trading company.
Vanport International, Inc. is the parent company based in Boring, Oregon
Vanport Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Vanport International based in North Vancouver, British Columbia.

Regarding China:
Vanport China has been doing business in China since 2001. Vanport International deal with various lumber products and building materials, for both import and export to and from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong. A Chinese speaking Sales Team is ready to answer questions from Chinese customers. Other languages spoken at Vanport include Japanese, Russian and German.
