Have you ever been sitting on the couch watching your favorite sports team as they push down the field, drive the lane, or rally from behind? You know the scene. You have chips and dip on the coffee table and popcorn in your hands. You turn the TV volume up loud and ignore any phone calls. Then as your team scores the winning points, you throw up your hands and say, We won! But you werent out there on the field or on the court. You were in your living room watching the game on TV. And yet somehow, when they won you won. This type of experience is called identification. You have shirts and hats with the team logo on it. You identify with your favorite team. You see yourself in them.
As the only locally owned and run job advertiser for our clients, we view our relationship with you in the same way. When our clients win, we win. Conversely, when they lose, we lose. After two tumultuous years in the Oregon employment markets (2001 2003), its nice to be back on the winning team!
The number of new people signing up for jobless benefits dropped last week to the lowest level in more than three years, an encouraging sign for a labor market experiencing a bumpy recovery. What a breath of fresh air!

A Message From IT

The technical arena of Jobdango has been busy as usual and we're excited to let you all know the new and upcoming features for Jobdango.com. Weve rolled out new tools and improved on the current tools in order to improve your hiring experience. Below is a listing of recent modifications as well as some exciting new features we have in the works.
NEW AT JOBDANGO
My Toolbar
The My Toolbar has been created to streamline your hiring tools into a central location. The toolbar allows you to set up your own personal links for Payroll, HR Help, Screening, Temp Agencies, Recruiters and My Links. We also offer preferred providers in each of the toolbar sections, allowing you to connect with some of the top companies in the area. Management of the My Toolbar feature is available in the Administration section under the button link: My Toolbar.
Duplicate Job Posting
After hearing your pleas to implement this feature you now have the option of duplicating any job posting as a new job (must have an available job to post). The duplicate posting feature is available on the view job posting page (after the edit job posting page).
Auto Email Responder Attachments
We have updated the Auto Email Responder to allow you to attach a document. You now have the ability to attach a .PDF, .RTF, or .DOC file to your Auto Email Responder. When an applicant applies to a position they will receive your Auto Email Responder email along with the uploaded attachment. Many thanks to Karol over at VTech for the great idea!
Resume Search Agent Boolean and Wildcard Searching
The Resume Search Agent has been updated with Boolean and Wildcard search capabilities. Boolean searching uses the AND, OR, NOT and NEAR keywords to extract more relevant search results. Wildcard searching can be used to pull partial keywords using the * sign. (example: Bookkeep* will return any records with keywords starting with Bookkeep) For further examples on Boolean searching, browse to the Resume Search Agent section of Jobdango.
Improved Resume Inbox Management
The Resume Inbox has been improved to include resume management features. You now have the option to change the status of a resume to any of the following: New, Contacted, Interview 1, Interview 2, Interview 3, Email, Phone, Job Offer, Hired, Unqualified, or Other. Resumes are color coded based on their status for ease of use. Applicant Notes can be added to any resume for later viewing.
New E-Commerce System
A new E-Commerce system has been implemented with several improvements over the previous version. You now have the ability to purchase multiple instances of job postings, applicant questions, and featured jobs. Purchasing options are also streamlined into a single page for ease of use.
Print Invoice
You are now able to print an invoice for any order history entry directly from the Order History page. This feature is thanks to several employers that wanted a way to view receipts from previous orders. In order to use this feature go into the Administration section and from there you can click on the button labeled 'Order History' to find your Order History and print an invoice.
Sale Rep Information on every page
Your Jobdango sales rep information is now available for viewing on every employer page (once logged in). The sales rep information includes a photo of the sales rep, name, phone and email.
COMING SOON AT JOBDANGO
Auto Renew Options
Auto Renew will be available for any posting on Jobdango, renewing the posting automatically after it expires.
Confidential Job Posting Option
You will be able to mark any job posting as confidential. Confidential job postings will hide all company information and the company name will be labeled as Confidential Company.
Hourly Salary Ranges
You will be able to specify yearly or hourly for salary ranges when posting a job.

The Team I have been so proud of the Jobdango sales team. They have had one heck of a first half of the year. In planning the goals for this year we set a very high standard but they have not only willingly accepted the challenge but are meeting the aggressive goals that we have had for this year. Each member of our all-star team are leaders and they drive each other on to higher and higher levels of achievement.
The Philosophy
We have two philosophies that drive us and are the key to our success. The first is meeting the needs of our clients. We believe that if we succeed beyond expectation to find and meet our clients needs we will each individually succeed beyond expectation. The second philosophy that drives us is that the system sells itself. It is a truly great honor to be able to provide such an innovative and industry-leading product to our local community. Our constant focus is to simply, effectively, and with integrity demonstrate how Jobdango will be able to save time, effort and on top of that money for our local employers.
